FROM THE LABORATORY

DriveLab’s “From the Laboratory” asks the fundamental question: Why do cars do what they do? This and many more issues are addressed with interesting and amusing graphics and other gimmicks in this fascinating lecture on the Physics of Driving. The audience of all ages is taken for a joy ride through Sir Isaac Newton’s Laws of Motion and how they are ever present in controlling a vehicle.

Miriam Schottland is available for lectures about the Physics of Driving. With her unique approach to driver education, participates understand why a vehical does what it does and how to avoid accidents. Her lectures are a must for anyone who drives.

The audience of all ages is taken for a joy ride through Sir Isaac Newton’s Laws of Motion and how they are ever present in controlling a vehicle.

This fascinating seminar is also a perfect introduction to driving for teen drivers.

The many topics covered include car control techniques, how to save yourself if an accident is inevitable, the geometry of turns, tire safety, and many other topics never or forbidden to talk about in so called “driver education.”

DriveLab guarantees that this seminar will make drivers think about what they are doing behind the wheel. This is what drivers should learn prior to getting their license. A little knowledge of Sir Isaac Newton’s Laws of Motion will go a long way in eliminating most accidents and deaths.

This 2½ hour workshop examines driving as Applied Physics and teaches drivers how these laws are the most important element in controlling a car. Early registration is necessary. The fee is $45 per person and includes pizza and soft drinks.

The Cone Killers

How much is your life worth?

TBD

This hands-on driving course is the “adult version” of our teen school. Whether you hate driving, love driving, are fearful of driving, or anything in between, come out for a day of real car control.

Why not let others know,
That which you're intending.
Please do signal in advance,
To avoid some fender bending.

For your morning pleasure, you will be put through your paces with car control exercises consisting of skid pad, different types of braking, and different types of slaloms, to stretch your thinking and driving skills.

In the afternoon, you will put everything you have learned to use, this time going a little bit faster. This course is on a small racetrack, for all of you Walter Mittys. An instructor is in the right seat at all times, both in the morning and in the afternoon.

DriveLab guarantees that you will have more fun than you could imagine, and will be a 100% better driver at the end of the day.

The fee for all this sublime ecstasy is $385. This includes a health-packed breakfast of greasy, grungy donuts and coffee burned to perfection right here in wild, wooly West Virginia where you will be driving.

Pre-registration is necessary. No SUVs, vans, or trucks are allowed. Drivers must be 18 or over.

Sir Isaac Newton’s Totally Awesome Driving School

A full day of driving for teens only, with some classroom time and hands-on training.

DriveLab does not teach teens how to pass the drivers’ test. DriveLab teaches teens how to control a car and how to prevent the unspeakable from happening. With a highly qualified instructor in the right seat at all times, the teen driver is put through a series of diabolical exercises at low speeds in a highly controlled environment.

His seatbelts this idiot refuses To wear, all around he leans.
And when he crashes, have no Fear.
He has improved the pool of Genes.

The fee for this wonderful learning environment is $200. How much is your teen’s life worth, anyway?

The fee includes a lunch of fabulous gourmet pizza and soft drinks from the local pizzeria. Parents will learn a Hell of a Lot too!

At least one parent must accompany the teen driver at all times. No SUVs, van, or trucks are allowed. Teens must have at least a learner’s permit.

Pre-registration is necessary.

From the Laboratory to the Garage

Why do cars do what they do?

TBD

DriveLab’s “From the Laboratory” asked: Why do cars do what they do? Our new course answers that question even further:

Driver and car form a symbiotic relationship with each other and understanding the Physics of Driving is just the first half of the equation. To get the most of this relationship with your car, it is imperative that the driver has a fundamental understanding of how and why a car works.

"From the Laboratory" combines Sir Isaac Newton with Leonardo Da Vinci. This course is designed to understand the vehicle’s systems, from their basic engineering to its limitations so the driver will not only have a newfound respect for driving, but a newfound respect for the vehicle itself.
